Monarch Introduction to Careers in Finance is a semester-long Career and Technical Education (CTE) elective that helps your child explore financial topics, including the securities market, banking, insurance, risk management, investments, and more. The course falls within the Finance career cluster and provides students in grades 9-12 with the skills and confidence required to land their dream job within the market. Purchase of this individual Monarch course grants access to one child for 18 months beginning on the date of activation.

Description

 During this semester-long course, students in grades 9-12 receive an overview of the finance industry and the services that different sectors provide. Specific topics of exploration include investments, equity, risk and return, corporate finance, financial statements, capital budgeting, banking, risk management, and insurance.

 

As the course explores these topics, students receive an inside look at the different careers in finance that serve those sectors and gain the skills and confidence required to land their dream job within the market.
